Refund Policy
Last updated 14 August 2026
How charging works today, and what happens when a generation does not deliver.
1. No paid plans yet
Tamago does not currently sell credits or subscriptions. Accounts receive a small evaluation balance, and there is nothing to refund in money terms. This page describes how credits behave, and will be updated when paid top-ups launch.
2. How a generation is charged
When you submit a generation, its estimated cost is reserved from your balance before we call the generation provider. When the job finishes, the reservation is settled against the actual cost: if the job cost less, the difference returns to your balance.
You are charged per generation, not per download. Pricing depends on the model, the channel and, for video, the duration. The dock shows the cost of the current settings before you submit.
3. Credits we return automatically
- Failed generations. If the provider reports a failure, the full reservation is returned. Retrying costs nothing extra beyond the new generation.
- Submissions that never started. If we cannot hand the job to the provider, the reservation is returned immediately.
- Overestimates. If the actual cost is lower than the reserved estimate, the difference is credited back on completion.
4. What is not refunded
- Generations that completed successfully but did not match your creative intent. Model output is probabilistic; a result you dislike is still a result we paid the provider for.
- Quality differences on the cheap channel. That channel is explicitly lower priority and does not guarantee resolution or stability. Use the official channel for client work.
- Outputs that expired before you downloaded them. Generated files are hosted by the provider and expire on its schedule; download what you want to keep.
- Balances on accounts closed for breaching the Terms of Service.
5. If you think a charge is wrong
Contact [support email] within [14 or 30] days with the generation time and the model used. If a charge was applied for a job that never produced output, we will return the credits.
6. When paid credits launch
Once top-ups are available, this page will state the statutory cooling-off position for digital content in Vietnam, how unused credits are treated, and whether credits expire. Nothing on this page limits rights you have under consumer law.
